2 years ago I learned 3D art to make model for some private HW2 mod. I made several models and halted everything due to complexity of work and inability to make realistic texture on my own (plus RL issues).
Just about a week ago, I saw some magnificent starship art on the net. It inspired me once again to improve my art skill from paper to digital. So, I came back to learn more about 3D modeling and texturing. Fortunately, a friend of mine has turned himself some simple gamer to an accomplished 3D modeler working for Contra mod. His guidance was quite interesting and helpful. So, I start to relearn 3D modeling and plan to create some 3D art.
I just hope that this inspiration would carry me long enough for me to accomplish something worthwhile. My new model is finished and now comes the more difficult path, unwrapping and texturing. Let's see what I can do.
