I am an indie game developer and owner of Broken Helmet Entertainment, the company I started. I love video games and so it was no surprise when I decided this is what I will do for the rest of my life :) Drop me a line whenever, I'm always eager to learn something new, and talk shop.

Hey everyone. I guess I should besaying “Happy New Year!”, but I wouldn't want to be one of“those” people :) Considering how tough January was, someone saidit must have been a rehearsal. And so, here is the main take, therefore; “HAPPY NEW YEAR!!”.

Now, some several posts back, I had spoken about trademarking, you know that little TM or ® you usually see on certain products or whatever. Following up on that post, “Broken Helmet” and the logo are officially a registered trademark \([00,])/

It was a bit of an effort, however it was well worth it. I am still waiting on the official certificate, which according to the trademarking office, is somewhere in the mail. However, because it is already done i.e. the paperwork is finished, records have been filed and all that sort of thing, the certificate is just a formality, and my company is already covered. Long story short, I can take anyone to court should they feel the need to make use of Broken Helmet's name or logo }:)

Consequently, I can finally move on some marketing ideas that have been on the back burner for some time. Keep an eye on the various spaces that Broken Helmet occupies to get an idea :p

More to follow...

P.S.
If you are curious as to how I got the entire trademarking process done (here in Kenya that is), I would suggest you check out the parastatal organisation responsible for it, that is, the Kenya Industrial Property Institute (KIPI).

P.P.S. Please excuse the cheap/poor gif, I'm trying my hand at making them for future posts on AI and animation.
