For my first progect i will make a port of valves portal based on the quake engine.
The main focus of this mod will be porting portal to the nintendo DS.
I know i'm not the first person on this site who is trying to port portal to the quake engine.But i know i'm the first modder trying to do this on the DS.
As if this is my first mod i need help.I have learnd the basics of of mapping and modeling and texturing.
One of the biggest problems i have is coverting .MAP files from BSP mapping programm to .BSP files.I cnow there is a coverter bild in the programm but i dount know how to use it and i cant find any tutorials on the web.
And the DS limits are kiling me!!!I have to count erery poly in the level and it's geting wery anoing.
SO if you like this idea you can always joyn my team.We really need a coder.
p.s:sorry for the grammar.
p.p.s:as it is a quake mod i will be able to port it to the wii or a psp but i dount own one so i will having problems with theat.
P.P.P.S:MOstly i will copy olnly the pussles form te origional game and i will add some textures theat will make levels look more like the levels in the ones in portal.I will not copy all the content from portal becaus thet will be eligal.
My first mod.Is it a good idea?
