Hello, I am AoDLegacy, the head and arguably only developer of Shattered Realms: Mortal Tale, as well as the developer of AwaKen: Descent Into Slumber, though at the moment it is suspended. I'm also the original writer for a game concept called Far East, and once upon a time I made the first game I ever made, Demi Dawn, which needless to say was garbage looking back. The sheer thrill of creation probably prevented me from realizing how bad it was. But MAN have I gone a long way since then.
I figured it was about time I spent more time here and made a blog, talking about my experiences as a game dev. Let's start with the basics I guess. I started AoD Entertainment, which is more properly referred to as Axis of Destruction, but ignoring that, I started Axis of Destruction back around 2011, as near as I can tell. Aug. 19, 2011, the Axis of Destruction channel was launched, back then when you actually had cool YouTube backgrounds instead of... bleeh, white. I mainly made Neverwinter Nights videos, and later when I found a free screencapture demo, started recording Minecraft. A few summers back, I found the RPG Maker XP engine, and I began making worlds, just like I used to when I started the channel.
Now, I'm working on Shattered Realms: Mortal Tale, probably my best game I have built yet, and still nowhere near done. Working alongside my collaborator and girlfriend BrookeKohaku21 on DeviantArt, I'm aiming to make my first game as best as I can, and I'm glad you stopped by to check my project out.
Since the start of AoD, I have constantly aimed to expand my horizons, and since 2011, I have gained 21 subscribers. ...Which is honestly sad, considering last August was my channel's fifth birthday... but, in a more heartwarming light, I have 67 followers on Twitter, 29 followers for my G+ page, 74 followers on AwaKen: DiS's page, and 11 followers on the current project's page, and 46 followers on DeviantArt. I've expanded from writing novels, to making music and art, to now a fantasy RPG named Shattered Realms: Mortal Tale. It's been an awesome road, and I hope you will join me as I continue working toward the completion of Shattered Realms: Mortal Tale, and all of my future games to come.
