Senior Game Developer / Backend

Come join the new Amazon Games Montreal Studio!

Joining Amazon Games Montréal means taking part in the foundation of a new video game studio that operates at a focused, human scale; participating in the creation of a new intellectual property, a fresh take on the AAA multiplayer online battle arena game (yes, a MOBA); and collaborating with a team of well-rounded experts who have a great time working together. Come build the future with us!

As Senior Game Developer / Backend, you create and support backend systems required to successfully launch and operate a live game, and connect players so they may interact together. You work closely with designers and other developers, guiding them towards a robust and scalable implementation. You collaborate with peers and you make sure your work integrates well with the other game ingredients, providing the player with a unique and frictionless experience.

Due to the nature of the role that requires interaction with other Amazon entities globally and with Amazon employees and stakeholders in other provinces in Canada, bilingualism French and English is required for this position.

Key job responsibilities:

  • Implement the main backend systems and features of the game
  • Build systems that will serve as a base for other developers
  • Work with your peers to ensure reliability, performance and sustainability of the game features
  • Contribute to the technical and game vision
