To whom it may concern,
I am Chris Sharpe and I am the founding member of a team called Other Monster Studios. The core idea behind this team is to make games that are interesting and innovative while remaining honest with the industry and consumers. We have just begun pre-production on our flagship title: codename "Project Playground".
Project Playground is an action RPG with a streamlined barrier to entry set in an idealized suburban neighborhood. This game is meant to bring a fresh angle to the world of RPGs in both narrative, style and gameplay. I've been planning this project for over 2 years and I'm ecstatic to see it finally underway!
Most of the design work has already been done-The game design document and the technical document, movement system designs, interface designs-and we have moved onto the concept art phase. As I write this, my concept artist is hard at work designing the main characters. She takes passion to another level and further excites me about what's to come! We are both working tirelessly to make this game as strong as possible, but we are only 2 pieces to the puzzle.
And that's where you come in:
I am looking for a several passionate, hard working individuals to help build the prototype and really get this game on its feet!
Here's what we are looking for:
Developer *1
We need someone to write the code for the game, make its systems work as intended, a top-notch problem solver!
Must be proficient in C# and/or Javascript (This game will be built in Unity after-all)
Knowledge of 3D programing a must
Knowledge of game development a plus
2D Animators *2-3
We need two to three people to animate the many characters of this game(30+) and give it a unique sense of life!
Must be able to draw 2D, pose to pose character animations
Must be able to rasterize said animations into an animation sheet
Knowledge of game development a plus
All potential candidates will receive a skill test so be sure you're ready!
