We’re currently a team of 10 members that recently started working on a great 3d RPG with a lot of originality. but we really need artists, modelers and animators.

In this game, you will be able to play every years of your character’s life from 12 until 50(for now). Each year, the player can do 1 quest and several side quests. The quests available change every year and influence the future of the game’s world so, every player will have a very different story.
The player will also be able to establish bonds with many NPCs and get to know them as they grow older. Those NPCs can become the player’s allies, wife or master, etc…

The combat part of the gameplay will be a mix of dark souls and final fantasy tactics. Sex and relationships will also be important mechanics of the game. I love both western and japanese RPGs and want to make something halfway.
Most of games only rely on one gimmick or a pattern that has been used a thousand times. I want to try things to make a unique game and I don't mind if it sells less because of that but at the same time, I also want make sure that every aspect of the game is polished so that the game can be a good game before to be an original game. I actually spent a long time analyzing a lot of games for that.
I will explain how I see the game in my mind but the final shape of the game will depend on those who work on it.
So…
• this game will have original and uncommon story and narration.
• The player will have a lot of freedom in the story, progression and choices. There will be no main quests so the player will make his/her own story, his/her choices will shape the world.
• the player will be able to choose between 4 characters at the beginning of the game. Each character starts in a different country, in a different situation/ position.
• There will be few to no restriction based on morality (The player will be able to rape or kill children if he wants for example).
• I don’t want to push the players to feel or think something specific but more make them face different situations and let them think about how they feel about it, let them have their own opinions.
• The world will be close to final fantasy 12 with medieval elements mixed with machines and other elements that you don’t usually associate with medieval settings.
• The characters will be anime like or cartoony but not too much.
• We will use unreal engine and low poly 3d. I want it to be close to something like “little devil inside” but a bit more on the realistic side. I would love it if the game graphics have a dream like feeling, by the way.
• I do not want to work on another RPG where the player fights undeads in dark places. It’s an RPG not a horror game.
• The music should also be unusual for an rpg, so having electronic relaxing music during exploration and heavy metal during combat is a possibility.
• There will be a lot of cut scenes to put more impact on the storytelling and make the player feel the importance of characters.
• People don’t just stand facing each other every time they talk so I want animations that makes conversations feel more like scenes.
• there will be no voice acting but the text will be minimal so that the player doesn’t feel like he’s reading a book.
• There will be a lot of sex in the game and it will even be a game mechanic. The character models will also have visible genitals when they’re naked. My goal is not to sell sex but make the game more immersive.
• There will be a deep conversation/interaction system that you can use to get a large variety of NPCs become your allies, lovers or wife. sometimes the player will have to influence an NPC's mood to get what he wants out of the conversation.
• There will be a lot of types of relationships (ally, master, servant, etc…) and developing a relationship with a character grants access to quests or game mechanics linked to that character.
• Having certain type of relationships like a wife (or wives) will grant some stat bonuses (monogamy and polygamy both have advantages and disadvantages). And developing relations influences many more mechanics and aspects of the game.
• The combat will be similar to dark souls and monster hunter. The pace of the combat is slow, so every move is important, you have to observe the enemy and know when to dodge, block or attack to defeat your enemies.
• There will also be a job system similar to final fantasy tactics with cross class abilities. Some jobs will even be useful outside of combat. The player will have the possibility to learn different abilities from a large variety of jobs to build his own unique character. They will also be a lot of armors and weapons with different strengths and weaknesses.
• Weapon based jobs will require dexterity when magic oriented jobs will require more tactical skills.

Some elements can still be added and some might be removed to scale down the work but that’s the big idea right now.

My job on the project will be writer, character designer and basically game designer. I will write quests and dialogue, make the story boards for cut scenes, create the base looks of characters and coordinate everyone’s works.

What I want to do is to first create a proof of concept before actually jumping into the making of the game. We will make a demo of the game that we will use for a crowdfunding campaign. No one will be payed until we are financed but at the same time I will understand if you work slowly because you have an actual job and everything.
What we need in the team is:

Art: 1 artist to draw the equipment/ items, 1 concept artist and 1 character designer.

Modeling: 1 modeler to make the characters (if you’re not ok with modeling genitals, you can share the work with someone else).

Animation: 1 animator to make the animation of the characters, enemies, etc… and 1 animator to do the cut scenes. (we need at least one who is ok with animating sex scenes)

Level design: 1 level designer.

Programming: we already have some programmers but we need at least 1 experienced lead programmer who can work with UE4. Any confident programmer is welcome though.

Right now we have 10 members in the team but we still need artist, modeler, animator or level designer so if you’re interested in one of those positions, don’t hesitate.

If you’re confident enough you can take more than one position at the same time. You don’t need to be a “pro” but it’s important that you have a lot of RPG games knowledge and have at least a clear understanding of the basics of your "job". Keep in mind that it’s only the team to work on the demo, we might add people if the project goes well.

It's an ambitious project that can fail but if everything goes well and we get financed, I'll rent an office in los angeles and we'll become an official game studio.
