I was demanded not to distribute the mod publicly anymore. since I am using someone else's content
They can't do anything, unless they've got legal copyright documents, which I doubt very much.

As a matter of fact, they can.
Taking assets from other mods without their owner's consent is called a fraud and it is not allowed here on ModdB, whether you "hold a copyright document" or not.
How would you feel if someone else took your work to make their own content without asking you if you would be okay with that? That's not something I can personally agree with...
I believe it is not too complicated to ask for permission first. Had Zallbard done so, he wouldn't be in trouble.
Zallbard I honestly think your mods are very good, the only issue is that you keep on using other creators content, thats why you constantly get into trouble, I still love your mod but maybe just maybe get someone on board to atleast change some aspects so you can say its YOUR content.

That is definitely an advice you can apply to yourself as well, Mr Spicebomb.
It doesn't matter if another creator has copyright documents over their content or not, it is still THEIR work and THEIR assets and it's not okay to take that from them without their consent, it's simple as that. This is called common sense and respect towards such people.
I'm personally fine with Zallbard creating his own content, as long as he plays it fair with people he takes assets from (and also properly credits them).

you can add some changes to it like,aircraft speed and more realistic sounds , soldiers could be more realistic shape and moving when fighting
