I hate TCW from a story perspective (overwrites what came before) but the execution of the show was pretty good.
It's sort of peculiar that people still make a fuss about TCW's animation, which became really smooth and fluid over time. Music is quite vibrant and catchy. So, in fact, execution is really nice.
I'm not quite sure, but the old EU never was official. Uncle George said that only movies are canon. So, he could actually overwrite old CW comics and TV mini series.
Disney pretty much scrapped the old EU, so there's nothing you can do about it. You can always invent your own timeline that is intertwined with old EU, at least that's what I do.
I always wanted to see a pretty romantic scene or even a whole episode about Aayla and Fisto. They really deserve a standalone episode or even a story arc. I would definitely replace some story fillers with a story about those two secret lovers.
As for the Siege of Mando, it was a really fast-paced story arc with an obvious plotline, but I love it nonetheless. It added depth and context to Clone Wars and Revenge of the Sith overall.
