This is just a very minor edit to an awesome mod edited file (DLTX version only). This is in no way my work, other than the aforementioned edit: (The edit was setting the variable 'af_rank' to 0).

(The edit was setting the variable 'af_rank' to 0, or added the entire variable in some cases since the mod did not alter properties that didn't need to be altered).

Installation:

REQUIRES Moddb.com with DLTX to be installed first.

Drag-drop into the root folder.

This is CHEATING, why bother?

I am no modder by any means, but I always disliked the idea of invisible artifacts as they detracted from the physicality of artifacts as items. Maybe so, but one of STALKER's greatest appeals over most open-world games is the lack of an RPG system and how fun it is to see an interesting item in the distance, walk next to it, see a new never-seen-before icon, and grab the said item. I find that loop infinitely satisfying and considering artifacts still spawn from anomalies, gathering them is still dangerous, albeit without the use of a tiered detector system.
