I actually think a mob that lives in lava would be pretty cool. Most commonly found in the Nether but can be found in large pools of lava in the regular world. Something hostile, like a lava shark.

Making squids in nether:
Just put water anywhere..From 3 to 6 blocks of water are enough to spawn squids..

About MP nether:It's most common that the portals have a command to connect to the other server or teleport to a special hidden map that is supposed to be nether..

Water can't dissapear in the nether..You have to remove the sourceblock to remove it...

water does dissapear when you put it on netherrack but this is on cobble stone

Really,i didn't know about that..I used invedit once to see the unused stuff and played with water but i didn't know it dissapears..
