You would probably like www.gerwalk.net They are trying to build a free Robotech game. There is a free demo you can play it is really fun! They started in Orge 3D now they are using Unity.

This is from Macross Frontier so the VF-25 doesn't exist in Robotech, which is a dumbed down version of the original Macross anyways.
