Hello, sci-fi fans! Let me first of all explain why I created this group. Most dedicated Ridley Scott fans should know that he unified the universe of his "Blade runner" with the universe of his "Prometheus" (which shares the same universe with "Aliens" and "Predators"; I hope you at least know that) by adding an interesting extra letter to "Prometheus" DVDs/Blu-rays. And in my book THAT is a big step with which Scott has shown appreciation to fans of his and not only his sci-fi, right? After all, countless mods here on MODDB are inspired by his work! Now, there's quite a number of Scott's fan clubs, yes, but somehow not on MODDB! So, let's be grateful and at least create this group where members will share anything related to Ridley Scott's sci-fi. May the inspiration drive your fantasy further and further into the deep space filled with alien species, dear sir Ridley Scott!

Sequels of "Blade Runner" and "Prometheus" movies seem to be happening after all!

So, now when "Martian" released and quite successfully, I hope sir Scott has more inspiration to invest in "Prometheus" sequel, which after having undergone lots of changes is now "Alien: Covenant" and the release date is postponed 1.5 years - to October 6th, 2017. Well to me it's good news already that the sequel is happening with more and more news coming month after month. But as a big "alien" universe fan I have to admit a couple other things like casting beautiful Katherine Waterson as Ripley-like character plus sir Scott's decision to show different kinds of "aliens" put a wide-wide smile on my face too! Moreover another Scott's project - "Blade Runner 2" - is after all in production too though it's happening real slow. But then again there are things that make my smile wider - BR2 already got a big-time lead actor Ryan Gosling, whom I liked in "Drive" and quite an experienced director known for "Incendies" and "Prisoners" - Denis Villeneuve. So I'm hoping the postponing makes upcoming sir Scott's projects even more qualitative and entertaining making "alien" universe even better! And I'm so glad the projects keep surviving and looking better and better in spite of anything!
