In the history of video games, the eighth generation is a term to describe the next iteration of video game consoles that are expected to follow the current seventh generation: Microsoft's Xbox 360, Sony's PlayStation 3, and Nintendo's Wii. It also describes handheld game units released in the similar timeframe. The Nintendo 3DS was released on March 27, 2011 and Sony's PlayStation Vita was released on February 22, 2012 in North America.

Two times two minutes of Assassin's Creed: Unity

~ Ubisoft has released two comprehensive trailers for the game ~

Also the upcoming games fall, adorned by an Assassin's Creed game, and this time it's the French Revolution to be explored. Ubisoft really impressed with Assassin's Creed: Unity at E3 with a good eighth generation touch, captivating gameplay and a massive atmosphere, and now they are trying to increase the voltage further with two brand new trailers for the game. As was released yesterday on youtube.com

They are talking about two fairly short trailers, which one informs about the historical context surrounding the game with a quick review of the French Revolution and its consequences, while one focuses more on the gameplay of the game.

Eighth Generation embossed look still present out, with beautiful graphics and animations that look a bit more polished than the way they've seen them before. Otherwise, it also looks as though Ubisoft stays pretty true to the franchise's roots and foundation of gameplay and a great story focus seems to remain - perhaps even more than it did in Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag.
