This mod simply removes some particle effects(dust, cloud, smoke) while still keeping the smoke coming from the musket fire. It increase framerate and game performance.
copy and paste ''wala_usok.pack" to "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\napoleon total war\data" folder. enjoy
Instructions:

Additional info:
The reason why i made this mod is because whenever I put the particle effects option in medium the game simply removes all the dust and smoke including the smoke coming from the musket fire and it sucks seeing firing muskets without smoke. Another reason is my framerate goes down when units walks or run along in the battlefield since they're producing that silly dust effects even when they're walking/running in water or ice which looks very odd. In naval battles this mod only lessen the amount of fog and clouds in the battlefield and it does the same thing with that laggy campaign map. I manage to make the particle effects system of this game similar to that of Empire Total War's. This mod increases the framrate alot although just a bit in the campaign map(still laggy don't know why maybe I just need to upgrade my PC to play in the campaign map smoothly).
About the Screenshots:
1. French infantry inline and you will notice that there is no dust, grass, leaves and pollen flying around.
2. French line on the left firing with smoke coming out of their musket while their cavalry on the right running around without producing any dust.
3.On the left you can see british infantry running towards the firing french infantry without producing any dust while they run. On both right and left french and british infantry firing their musket with both smoke and that yellow flash coming out of their muskets.
Is it compatible with Darthmod?
