Ever play a game and feel like you wanted something more?
That's what we thought when we ran the first tests for Namaste Space Buffalo. We wanted the player to have a reason to replay the levels and get that next level of zen mastery.
We have a par system now where the player is rewarded a sweet zen medal based on how many attempts to get the Spuffalo to enlightenment.
Now we've added a system of collecting stars on top of this. There is one star per level and they will drop when touched. The player then has to collide with the star to collect it. They aren't mandatory for finishing a level but will add that extra depth, challenge and re-playability to our already huge amount of levels.
