Mafia is a 3D action game, played in the third person. The player assumes the role of a gangster in an American city of the 1930s, and gets a chance to live through gangster's rise and fall. In a spell-binding story of human hunger for power, he will experience everything that was taking place in the underworld during this stormy period: high-speed car chases, bootlegging, assassinations, and bank robberies. We set the story in a huge, fully-functional city, created 60 vehicles to choose from and more than 20 missions filled with non-stop action. The gameplay does not end there with over 40 little and large mods available, this game is great!

My game won't start and I get an error message saying:

patch data: cz

Yes. I re-installed it, and now it works. But now the resolution is stuck on 1024x768...
It won't change to anything else.
No problem, There are two setup files affecting one another...just launch the setup file from Steam/steamapps/common/Mafia - instead of Steam/steamapps/common/Mafia/Mafia.

Curious about this Czech voice acting everyone's always so hyped about.
This is hands down, the best mod for this game bar none!
Playing this game with Czech voices and English subtitles was probably the best
experience that I ever had in gaming!
Seriously each and every actor deliver Oscar worthy performances, blending themselves into the characters they portray, as if they were born for the role.
I don't I think I could ever go back to the English voices again, that's exactly how I used to play Gothic and The Witcher in their native language.

Is it possible to use this mod if you use a pirated version of the game (in other words, I don't have the Program Files (86x)/Steam/steamapps/common/Mafia/Mafia folder)
Hey, sorry for very late reply. But yeah, basically it should be possible to install it on any version. As long as the files are put into the the game directory.
