Basic challenges are being overcome to make way for special fx!

Development challenge after development challenge is being struck down, much like this poor bloke:

As a one-man development team who recruits mostly temporary help when needed, it's inevitable that you turn some pretty simple problems into much more complex ones than they actually are. Don't get me wrong, it's fun and I love it, but it is definitely a time suck. Still, I'm proud to say over the course of development thus far I have learned:

-A substantial amount of actionscript 2.0 and 3.0
-More about UDK than I ever thought I wanted to know
-Various 3D modelling/animating techniques
-How to pour your heart and soul into a project that you love even if it'll never be as awesome as the Legend of Zelda (this is a tough one).

In other news, a lot of the Unrealscript coding work is finally done and I have two puzzles coded and completed. NOW it's on to special fx, post-processing and all that jazz for these first two sections. This is the part that will take the longest most likely, but after I'm done I finally get to start working on the first part where you can actually DIE \o/

Suffice it to say, I've been making a lot of progress lately and it's putting me in a good mood. BUT. I cannot reveal all and much must remain a secret. Sometime this month I will hopefully release another gameplay video complete with sound/music (no guarantees :P)
