This game is my baby. I've been working on this video game in the dark for three and a half years, only a handful of people have seen it. When I saw the dawn of the N64 and the PSX, I saw the death of the side-scrolling genre as a staple of the game industry. Once the third dimension arrived, no one wanted to tap the potential of a 2d shooting game anymore. It's time for the category to have its justice.

I've been hard at work, and I have pictures to prove it! I've been working on an idea that I've always wanted in II, and that is the motorcycle. It's now in-game and fully functional. The motorcycle can bunnyhop, will go up into the air off of a ramp, and will scale straight up a wall if there's a ramp in front of it. I've spent quite a few hours just playing with the motorcycle, in-fact I got my friend to come over and two-player test to work out the kinks. It was even more fun than I expected.

I've also added a baseball bat, which you can see in the far left picture. It has short range, but does a decent amount of damage and causes the target to go flying across the level. A motorcycle baseball bat war broke out between me and my friend, and I'm definitely going to make that it's own multiplayer gamemode later on.

As for misc tweaks, I re-tooled the ai aiming to be more accurate. Now the rpg enemy will no longer fire in a weird direction sometimes. I adjusted the muzzleflash from weapons to be where it's supposed to be. I tuned the other two vehicles, hovercraft and helicopter, to be less buggy. I've finished up the first level 100%, and have the second level fully functional but lacking visual detail.

Next post will show you what I'm planning for fire.
And maybe I'll throw in a video.

Yeah, it's pronounced 'two'

Even I'm excited about the motorcycle. Now I just have to design a level for it. Haha
