Honorificabilitudinitatibus (working title) is a Pirate adventure set in a caribbean-like alternate universe. As Captain, you must recruit a capable crew for your ship and set sail to plunder trade ships, other pirates, and coastal cities. If you're successful you'll gain vast amounts of gold (to upgrade your ship's load-out), and infamy, which inspires more qualified townsfolk to join your crew (allowing you to command larger vessels and perform specific abilities at sea). The world is randomly generated, so each play session will yield new towns, crew members, and missions. Exploration, navigation, and combat happen in real time, with the ability to pause at any time and issue orders to your crew members. Orders include commands such as "Fire port-side cannons", "Fire port-side anti-personel guns", "Lob grenades onto enemy deck", and "Board enemy ship". This gives a nice mix of exciting, real-time combat with the ability to have in-depth tactical gameplay.
