Hello fellas,
it's been 4 months since I last posted a news update so, here you go.
What happend? :
4 months ago I was a week gone because I had a job interview at the other side of the country, when I came back I noticed a wierd behavior of my PC so I tried to fix it, but I soon realized that my HDD was way beyond repair so my last action was trying to save everything but I lost most of my data including every code change i made after the alpha release, the whole server code and the whole database.
So the past 4 months i've been working on rebuilding everything, starting with the database and the server.
OK "whats the news?":
The news is that I think the first Online Version of the game will be available within the next 2 weeks.
The Checklist for the release:
- Register Function
- Net commands for Lua Interpreter (ping, connect, read/write database, upload)
- Make stable chat function
- Deny wrong input to prevent sql injections
- First set of needed websites (internic, email provider, search engine, mission center, banks)
- Making a propper Admin interface
Most of the points on the checklist are easy, the hard part will be to find a good server hoster, if you know one feel free to put the adress in a comment.
