IMO: The art theme is terrible. D:

Well unfortunately it's impossible to please everybody. But you should give the Demo a try though. Maybe you will find that the gameplay makes up for whatever displeases you.

I agree with HeliaXDemoN to a certain extent, I wouldn't state it's terrible because that isn't give any positive criticism. I think at least the art direction could have been swayed into a different direction rather than it currently has purely on the bases that it feels cleché.

The game from the video has interesting game potential and I feel that with a little more visual presence it could stand out as a popular indie game.

Is this game modd-able? If so, I'm more than willing to purchase it and play around with an art style for it.

Thanks for your input Doplhur. Sure, your more than welcome to try to modd it. all the game texture is modd-able. Its as simple as just altering the xnb file in the textures folder (Bloody Trapland\Content\Textures).

I just tried it myself, and I used paint.net and this plugin:
Pdnxnb.codeplex.com

Note that the game is made with XNA 4.0

Also, there is no save function for XNB-files as far as i know in Paint.net. Personally i just repacked the image using XNA. But iam sure there should be an XNA packer to be found somewhere. if not, I could probably create one for you.

Ah, XNA 4.0. That's given me a little insight as I'm relatively familiar with the language and it's environment. What I think would be more appropriate is painting my artwork in Photoshop/Illustrator due to my experience in the software, but Paint.NET is useful for viewing files.

I'm not aware of any XNA image packer, so it would be appreciated if you did happen to develop one!

I have looked in to it now, and unfortunately it seems like the only way of creating an XNB is by using XNA. But luckily its as simple as just build a project that contains the images you want to compile, no coding required.

For the unpacking of the XNB's i made this tool:
Torshall.se

Just put the file you want to unpack in "Content\Packed", then run the "XNBPacker.exe", and all files will end up in the "Unpacked" folder.
