ART CHANGES
- Empty inventory slots now appear correctly on the UI.
- Corrected Inner Fire appearance on Hydralisks.
- Corrected Bloodlust appearance on Mutalisks (Thanks to Fleck).

BUG FIXES
- Fixed a memory leak when units were selected.
- Fixed abilities that heal or repair as well as Town Portals not affecting units that deal splash damage. See Dark Swarm Balance change for explanation.
- Fixed Overlords not being able to transport units.
- Fixed Queens getting stuck in their spell animation when an invalid target is chosen for infestation.
- Fixed 'Select Larva' button sometimes being moved around.
- Fixed Hives being able to 'Mutate into Hive', which turned them invisible.
- Fixed selected Nydus Canals being de-selected when their sibling Nydus Canal finshed construction.
- Fixed Infested Priest's Dispel Magic not dispelling Unholy Armor from WC2 Death Knights.
- Fixed Zerg Hippogryph Riders using less food than the separated Hydralisk and Infested Hippogryph.
- Fixed Guardian Phoenix using food.
- Fixed Summon Hunter Killer not summoning a Hunter Killer.
- Fixed Banelings from Baneling Stampede remaining after they explode.
- Fixed Wisps not being able to repair Ancients.
BALANCE CHANGES
Kerrigan - Fungal Growth
- Will no longer kill units.
Drone
- Attack type changed to Piercing instead of Normal.
Compared to war3 workers, Drones already ran much faster, and beat them in combat. With this change, war3 workers won't be so helpless against them. This will also make them no longer deal damage under Dark Swarm (see below), as is the case in StarCraft.
Mutalisk
- Now deals Normal damage to buildings.
Effectively this means they'll deal double the damage to fortified buildings than before.
Guardian / Guardian Phoenix
- Ranged increased to 850 from 800.
This is so they out-range all towers.
Queen - Parasite
- Now works more like it does in StarCraft, firing a missile that causes the area surrounding the target to be revealed on impact. There are however some differences from the StarCraft version:
- It will dispel all buffs on the target, and deal 525 damage to summons.
- It will reveal nearby invisible units regardless of whether the target is a detector.
- Can no longer be autocast.
- Renamed to Microbial Parasite due to an existing war3 spell already being called Parasite.
Queen - Queen's Snare
- Will now affect invisible units even if they are not revealed.
Ultralisk
- Attack range increased to 128 from 100.
Defiler - Dark Swarm
- Dark Swarm has been changed to block all Piercing attacks, instead of ranged 'non-splash' attacks of any attack type.
Previously, splash-dealing units were given the 'Ancient' unit type so that Dark Swarm would distinguish them. While this change makes the spell less true to StarCraft, it fits in better with War3 design-wise, as well as fixes several bugs.
- Units that will now deal damage to targets under Dark Swarm
- Heroes, spellcasters, Zerg Guardians
- Units that will no longer deal damage to targets under Dark Swarm
- Drones, Ancient Protectors, Thunder Lizards.
Defiler - Plague
- Can now be dispelled.
- Will now affect invisible units even if they are not revealed.
Kerrigan / Defiler - Consume
- Can no longer target Mechanical units.
Nydus Canal
- Now shows a line when selected indicating which Nydus Canal its connected to.
Infested Raider
- Can now learn the Liquid Fire ability. Due to the hard-coded nature of War3, this introduces a bug where Infested Raiders will benefit from Trueshot Aura and not Vampiric Aura when attacking buildings. However, this makes them more worth using in a more interesting way than just buffing their stats, so I felt that was acceptable.
Infested Frost Wyrm
- Ground damage increased to 94-114 from 85-105.
Infested Units Cargo Size
- Several Infested units now take more space in Overlords:
- Mortar Team: 2 -> 3
- Raider: 1 -> 2
- Kodo Beast: 2 -> 4
- Crypt Fiend: 1 -> 2
- Hydraling: 2 -> 1
- Death Knight: 1 -> 2
- Ogre-Mage: 1 -> 4
Infested Ancient of Wonders
- Removed Staff of Preservation.
- New Item: Transfusion
- Heals a friendly organic unit or zerg structure for 250 hit points over 7 seconds.
- Requires Lair.
- Costs 125 gold.
- Contains 2 charges.
Creep Tumor
- No longer invisible.
Torrasque
- Now has a Cleaving Attack ability that deals 33% damage in a radius of 150.
- Attack range increased to 128 from 100.
- Damage per upgrade decreased to 3 from 4.
- Movement speed decreased to 350 from 400.
- Cargo size increased to 8 from 4.
Rexxar
- Now has his air attack from the Bonus Campaign.
Hunter Killer
- Attack range increased to 600 from 500.
- Movement speed decreased to 310 from 320.
Kukulza
- Now deals Normal damage to buildings.
- Increased number of bounces to 4 from 2.
Baneling Stampede
- Now spawns twice as many Banelings.
- Each Baneling does approximately half the damage from before (36 from 70).
- Damage radius decreased to 225 from 275.
Default Hotkey Changes
- Overlord: O -> V
- Mutalisk: M -> T
- Lurker: L -> E
- Infested Chaos Fortress: D -> W
CAMPAIGN CHANGES
General
- Kerrigan no longer uses food.
- If a loaded infested hero is under-leveled for the mission, it will be automatically levelled-up.
- When Infesting a town hall, any research the target player has will be transferred automatically if there is an infested equivalent. (ex. Priest Training -> Infested Priest Training)
Chapter 2
- Replaced Nerubian Towers with Spirit Towers.
Chapter 3
- The outer-most Orc expansions no longer need to be destroyed to complete the mission.
Chapter 4
- Added a starting Spawning Pool.
- Reduced starting gold to 300 from 500.
Chapter 5
- Fixed the ai not responding to sequence breaking.
- Fixed the Night Elves sometimes trapping themselves in their own base on Hard.
- The Castle and Fortress will now drop runes upon being destroyed or infested.
- Removed Rexxar's Orb of Fire on Hard, since he no longer needs it to attack air.
Chapter 6
- Remove Erader Diabolist from the Arena Mercenary Camp.
- Changed the gray hostile orcs' team color to black.
- Taverns can now be used to hire a fourth hero in addition to Kerrigan and the max of 2 infested heroes.
- Fixed initial Extractor sometimes not being created.
- Fixed the player sometimes getting attacked by hidden units.
- Fixed a crash if a saved game was loaded from late in the level.
- Fixed a bug if the cinematic was skipped at certain parts.
- Fixed memory leaks in the last quest.
