Download this Self Extracting Archive to Install.
INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS:
Download the above self extracting archive, and tell it to extract to your "C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\sourcemods" or equivilent directory. This mod is completely seperate from the stock Alien Swarm now.
Restart Steam, now go into your game list and right click the mod,
click properties. click set launch options.
Finally copy:
-maxplayers 8 -override_vpk
Into the launch options and you are set.
