This mod removes Syndicate's eye-searing bloom. IMO, it makes the game much more enjoyable to play.
To install, open the archive and copy
* ShaderOverride
* DX9Settings.ini
*d3d9.dll
into the game's Win32_x86_Release folder.
If you have any problems or general feedback, I welcome it. The mod hasn't been properly tested on AMD hardware.
0.4 - Updated d3d9.dll with latest version I could find. Hoping to improve stability, but not holding breath.
0.3 - Reverted 0.2 changes. Anti-lag injector has consistent and unacceptable side effects on performance.
0.2 - Added Kegetys's anti-lag injector. By limiting render-ahead, it should reduce mouse lag with vsync. It definitely feels better in my testing.
0.1 - Initial release
Crashes on launch. Any fixes?
Fixed the crash on launch. Game runs below 15 FPS which before it used to run at over 200 FPS.
Try the lastest d3d9 in Helix Mod ;)
Hey Ambient_Malice:
1)Is there a way to remove the Motion Blur *ONLY* with a similar technique? Setting "XR_MOTIONBLUR_DOF" to 0 disable the whole postprocressing system running/sprinting.....
2) How to remove the dirt lensing effect? -> Postimg.cc
To #2...
Go to the configuration file(s) location.
Open Environment.cfg.
Locate XR_GRAIN=1 and change 1 to 0

Also me but my first reply I forgot to sign in... anyway, about #1...
Community.pcgamingwiki.com
go to site, dl config tool, extract into game directory, run.
you'll be able to make a lot of video changes including removing just the blur if you want. I think you can even do #3 from there too.
3) Is there a way to set a CVAR value without the console but simply starting the game? (ex: classic autoexec.cfg equivalent or similar ways)?
Can you make a tutorial on how to apply fix like this to other games?
Crashes on startup, what to do?
Run the game at least once before installing the mod.
