This patch addresses mostly visual things ie textures for ships albiet generic and some minor bug fixs. Please download file extract with 7 zip and place the contents of the file into your sgi alpha folder. If prompted yes overwrite files.

hmmm... well the Nyx class still doesn't fire on ships, although after those two patches it does now fire on certain structures.
Also the tauri starbase... it has the asgard beam weapon ability but never even after every research is done, does it have naquada.
i also see you have nerf'd the wraith alittle, lol no more 30-40k hull points on starting caps. nice.
also i see the asurans have been buffed ever so slightly, there ships seem to hit alot harder at the start.
all in all i think its a nice good balance.
i'll play asurans and wraith proper and check em out.
for the tau'ri base, they might change it later on but for now you have to research the restock or docking booms ability (bunch of boxes) and itt'll provide the naquadah for the beam weapons
On mine the tauri starbase is just the default tec starbase is that right???
could you put asgaurd ships in a mimi mod so people can see what they look like
I was playing a the wraith and my capital ships keep getting nuked. when my fleet managed to capture a couple tau'ri ships including a daedalus and star base maker that i saw i couldn't use any of the abilities without researching, which are impossible to research just wondering if u could make it where i could use captured ship abilities without research

the asgard beams research on the starbase will have naquadra once u uprade to a stargate on the starbase may just combine those researchs to give u both abilities

Will the Asuran's first capital available be changed? Atlantis is really powerful (can beat a hive 1 on 1 with no problem at all.) Or maybe prevent the Asurans from getting capital ships at the start (require research)? Atlantis alone can easily steamroll any early game forces into nothing.
I also think the Humans need a ship with Asgard beams to start with, otherwise they have almost no chance when a hive shows up. Not that they should get access to ship production with Asgard beams, just that their starting capital ship gets it so they can go toe to toe with a Wraith's starting hive (I agree with beams being high in the tech tree, but not with them being unavailable completely at the start, as railguns and missiles won't kill a hive even if you have several Deadaluses and many prommies.)
Reasons for this are that I think the starting capitals have to be really well balanced with each other to make gameplay viable in the early part of a match.
Upcoming changes will make so that if you're being rushed as the Tauri it will be relatively easy to place a starbase which can repel an Atlantis/Hive.
