Try to deactivate your antivirus. The switcher can push updates and is able to write in AppData files (what is necesary for some game fixes) but for that reason this program is also seen from some Defenders as Malware. If you put it in your whitelist you should be able to go.
It's on the white list/exception list for my antivirus. It downloads but when it finishes and then going through it's setup and it asks to launch it(the patch switcher) at the end, it never launches. Also, the icon on the desktop is an Icon where if you click on it, it says it is missing the shortcut. I cannot seem to find the BFME2 switcher file itself in the downloaded designated area under program files *86. I have tried multiple mirror downloads that run into the same situation. Not sure what to do from here.
Hi, it can be also blocked throught the Windows defender. the switcherfiles should be found after the installation in C:\Program Files (x86)\BFME2 Ecth's Patch Switcher, with the aplication file in C:\Program Files (x86)\BFME2 Ecth's Patch Switcher\data\BFME2Switcher.exe .

"Could not extract file!" error
in the article of Gamereplays Gamereplays.org
they explained how to solve it.
You need to put the installation file in C:/ and install form there.
Try it please and let me know if this works fine.

I saw some screenshots lately using this tool. Till now the tool make weird but optical nice shadows. The real problems are the terrain. It reflects to strong and i still prefer the normal models over the models Nvidia five me out. In question of performance i can't give you more input. Still people will probably keep working on it. Maybe there will be some sort of advances in te future in this direction.
I have a problem why I can't play campaigns on the new patch 1.09v3 as I click on the forces of good or evil and the difficulty level and nothing happens and I'm in the main menu all the time and the campaign doesn't turn on what could be a problem I need help
Hi BlackDragon12 in order to play campaigns, Ringwars, Tutorial, Create Heros you need to select in the patchswitcher "Singleplayer". This feature was created to avoid Out of Sync errors in Multiplayer.
If you use Gameranger or VPN programs to play Online or with Friends switch again the "Singleplayer" off.
why cant we download just the file for 1.09v3???
