A fix for the Hythloth level 6 impassable rooms bug.
Hythloth Fix
This patch fixes the impassable rooms bug in level six of Hythloth in vanilla Ultima IV. The bug consisted of a room that lacked a connection in a chain of rooms, and another room which lacked 'door' data, and hence placed all the player characters in the top-left corner upon entry. This patch fixes both issues and makes the chain of rooms passable from east to west, or west to east.
To install just drop into your Ultima IV directory, overwrite the existing Hythloth.dng file. Back it up first!
A more satisfying layout than the standard patch from Pix's patch engine, since it matches the layout to the adjoining rooms.
The only downside is that it has six trolls instead of three each of orcs, trolls, ettins and cyclopses.
I'm assuming Cambragol thought it was too rough an encounter with three medium and six tough enemies. Given that he prefers the Apple II level of difficulty, that's probably right if that mod is used (the solo mod he uploaded here increases the DOS difficulty to that level, if you're interested).
