This newest version further adds bold changes; Featuring significant weapon tweaks and an enhanced execution emphasis in gameplay that bring the game even closer to classics like Gears of War and FEAR!
- Version 1.1 changes
- Guns overhauled:
- The mod now features an M4 Carbine that mimics a Gears of War lancer rifle. Now holding a 60 round clip with nerfed accuracy, this gun is deadly at close/medium range.
- Many rifles/SMGs/shotguns tweaked as well. Things like clip size, damage, rate of fire and range worked on. None as dramatic as the M4 changes above.
- Executions buffed:
- You will run out of ammunition often with this mod, executions have been changed to reward you with more of it to compensate this. There is also damage reduction present so you may execute your enemies to your hearts content.

- Don't feel intimidated by increasing the difficulty, it's reasonably balanced
how do you install?
Installation:
Quick:
1. Place modded files into:
"Hard Drive":\"USER"\Documents\My Games\SpecOps-TheLine\SRGame\Config
2. Make backups of files that are to be replaced to revert to original.
3. Make sure all modded files are set to "read only". Then Good2Go

Explained:
1. Start by browsing to your Documents folder.
2. Open up the "My Games" folder and find the "SpecOps-TheLine" folder.
3. In the "SpecOps-TheLine" folder open "SRGame" and than open "Config"
4. Inside of "Config" you will want to make a back up of the files if
you ever wish to uninstall this mod. If not skip to next step.
Make a folder called 'backup" and copy all *.ini files into it:
5. Copy the 6 .ini files from my mod into the Config folder.
Replacing the files that you have just backed up.
6. Make sure that the files are set to read only in the file's "properties".
Otherwise the game will overwrite the modded files with the originals.

Uninstallation:
Simple.
Move/Copy the files from the backup folder you created into the Config folder.
Thereby replacing the modded files with the original backups.

P.S. after playing with this for a bit, I have to say: I like the concept, but the mod definitely needs further tweaking. Walker shouldn't be able to survive 5 seconds of being riddled with bullets on FUBAR difficulty. also, SCAR-H gets 9 grenades from an execution, and its grenade launcher has semi-auto fire — this is broken-levels of overpowered. I'd say 1 grenade per execution should be fine, considering how much more often executions happen now. SCAR-H's grenade launcher should be reverted back to one shot per reload.
Here in 2023, and this mod is really great for this game. Seriously made a world of difference, thanks!
