Put d1_md_loader and BAT files to Levels directory
If you want to extract car model, put next in your batch file (EXTRACT.BAT):
d1_md_loader <full LEV file name> -modelimport <model name>
example:
d1_md_loader miami_01.lev -modelname PLAYERCAR1CLEAN
Tool will output the PLAYERCAR1CLEAN.dmodel file or your specified model name with .dmodel extension
Always keep original version backup of that file, if you always exports model.
Put plugins to MilkShape3D installation directory.
Run MilkShape.
Go to File -> Import -> DRIVER 1 PC MODEL IMPORTER and choose your extracted model.
NOTE 1: Importer undone, and you need manually adjust smoothing groups.
To export model go to File -> Export -> DRIVER 1 PC MODEL EXPORT
Choose only the original version of extracted model, take it from backup.
Exporter will override some data of model.
If you want to replace car model, put next in your batch file (.BAT):
d1_md_loader <full LEV file name> -modelimport <model name>
example:
d1_md_loader miami_01.lev -modelimport PLAYERCAR1CLEAN
Model will be replaced, you can play.
NOTE 2: Sometimes replacing can fail, and program will crash. If this happens, restore LEV file from backup
NOTE 3: Texture coordinates always must be inside images.
