This new version of Cypress includes a number of changes and improvements.
- Ildran is a bit colder in general.
- You can right-click Geoffrey to get a complete status report.
- Geoffrey can now only visit adjacent map squares when traveling.
- Geoffrey now enters each map in a position according to the direction of world travel.
- Lucius is back, with new flower-collecting and conversation AI.
- Grave hags now leave proper corpses, and are good sources of bone dust.
- Ruin stairwells now lead to dark basements with goodies inside.
- Ancient mountain caves are now accessible.
- New "Seance" spell allows obtaining Lore from skulls.
- Flickering OpenGL torch lighting in dark areas.
- Right-click Geoffrey to see a status report.
- Double click to toggle equipping armor/weapons.
- Inventory shows "Eq." when an item is equipped.
- New attribute "Attack" modifies outgoing attacks.
- New silver bow increases Damage power when equipped.
- New attribute "Defense" modifies incoming Damage.
- New attribute "Resistance" modifies incoming cold and environmental hazards.
- New silver armor increases both Defense and Resistance.
- New silver leggings increase Resistance.
- Hunger and cold status warnings are now issued as talk-bubbles beside Geoffrey's head.
- Conversation UI shows an ellipsis when gump text continues beyond current page.
Extract, then CD to the extracted directory and run "./cypress.bin". (You will need to have installed SDL, SDL-IMAGE, SDL-GFX, SDL-TTF, and SDL-MIXER. Some Linux users may get an error message about not being able to load SDL-GFX. If this happens, try choosing the CONTINUE option. I am working on a fix.
