OMFG i love ships! Why didn't they add ships to BF2?
They wanted to concentrate the game into a smaller tighter conflict.
you can find ships in some bf2 mods though, but it's rare. either way, it's really unfortunate that they weren't added into the vanilla game. it would be great using them in Wake 2007

so i tried downloading and running this exe, and it unpacked, but then gave me an error saying "Battlefield Vietnam : WW2 Mod cannot find an installation of BFV" Any tips on how to fix this? It might be because I am running Wine on a Mac, but I doubt it, because I have the original game completely up and running, no issues. I think the problem might be which folder I have it in, so I will keep playing musical chairs with it until it works

Can anybody please upload the BFV WW2 Mod in a rar Folder package? The exe wont start, because i have patched up my bf vietnam. That would be nice if do you could help me with that?

If you are using a pre-installed BFV folder, you will need to manually install BFV the old-fashioned way with CDs OR mount .iso/.bin/.cue image files one by one using WinCDEmu.
Yes, you will need a CD Key during this installation. You then install two patches (Patch 1.01, and then Patch 1.2 | Don't install the 3rd patch.)
Then run this WW2 Mod exe file, let it install, create shortcut, etc.
Then go to C:\Program Files (x86)\EA Games\Battlefield Vietnam\Mods and copy BFV_WW2Mod folder to your pre-installed BFV folder.
Desktop shortcuts: Go to your Windows Desktop. Right-click on your Battlefield Vietnam WW2 MOD shortcut. Go to Properties. Select Target. Notice that the new WW2 Mod desktop shortcut is targeted to you C:\Program Files. Change the path to your pre-installed BFV folder. Your BFV WW2 Mod desktop shortcut target should look like this: "C:\Users\Johnny\Downloads\BfvPreInstalledFolder\Game Files\BfVietnam.exe" +game BFV_WW2Mod
Now you can install BFV WW2 Extended Mod too. The file name is bfv_ww2_extended_modrc1
Fortunately, this file asks for install file path. Select your preinstalled folder instead of Program Files folder.
After installing WW2 Extended Mod in your pre-installed folder, move the BFV_WW2MOD_X folder from BfVietnam folder to Mods folder.
Also move RunMODX.cmd file from BfVietnam folder to Game Files folder (the main folder where all preinstalled BFV files and folders are saved.)
Also, go to your Windows Desktop. Right-click on your Battlefield Vietnam WW2 Extended MOD shortcut. Go to Properties. Select Target. If WW2 Extended Mod desktop shortcut is targeted to you C:\Program Files, change the path to your pre-installed BFV folder. Uninstall Battlefield Vietnam from C:\Program Files doesn't work on Windows 10. You will need to manually delete the folder. After deleting, go back to your Pre-Installed folder and test that your BFV and it's Mods are still working.
Game crashes halfway through loading a level.
