Macro Studios will be starting up a new project called TMNT: Heroes In A Half Shell. HHS for short. We have launched a design document and unity prototype. Macro is currently looking for skilled artist for the following positions:

3D Character Artist:

The ideal candidate has experience modeling and texturing a diverse visual range of characters and creatures. A solid grasp of form, structure, color, and light for both 2D and 3D art assets is essential. The character artist must be skilled in another form of art production as well -- illustration, modeling, texturing, animation, concept drawing -- and be well-versed in related tools --3ds Max, Photoshop, Unity, etc. The ideal candidate also works well in an environment with peers who are passionate about making great games.

Requirements
*3+ years experience in game development modeling and texturing characters using 3ds Max and Photoshop (or equivalent 3D and 2D programs). This does NOT mean you need to have launched some AAA title!!
Experience can include school/tutorials/personal projects.

*An exceptional understanding of human and creature anatomy and a keen eye towards form, shape, structure, and silhouette in regards to modeling.
*Superior eye for light, shade, color and detail in creating texture maps.
Self-motivation, good communication skills, and a great team-player attitude.
*Skill in one or more of the related creation tasks - illustration, modeling, texturing, animation, concept drawing.

3D Environment Artist:

Responsibilities

* create high quality modular 3D environment assets, texturing, and lighting when required.

Skills and Abilities

* work creatively with an online team. (you’ve got to both contribute and be open to contributions.)
* must have a passion for games and interactive entertainment.
* ability to rapidly learn & assimilate new technologies
* must be familiar with one or more types of 3D software (Maya, 3D Studio Max, lightwave, SoftImage, etc.).
* must be familiar with unity pipeline - or able to learn!
* initiate and participate in critique of the environment work for the project.
* be meticulous and organized in the approach to the tasks, files and storage of the material.
* ability to communicate on a wide range of issues and work well in an online team environment spanning artists, programmers, and designers.
* possess the ability to teach and learn new techniques and processes.
* be enthusiastic and expect to take on challenges.
* document procedures and pipelines as required.
* must be familiar with UV mapping techniques.
* strong texturing painting skills.
* must be able to meet schedules and artistic guidelines on time in a professional online environment
* must have good work ethic and require little supervision
