Welcome to the first edition of breaking news and project updates for the BMH project. IronMan has recently been invited into the inner sanctum to look around and kick the tires a bit. IronMan asked DarKOnE™ to let me keep the community informed on the progress of the project. IronMan asked him because it was apparent to me that he was very busy with the meat and potatoes of the project and didn’t have the time to do this too. Thought it may not seem like it sometimes, big things are happening behind the scenes. IronMan used to sit here, scratch my head and wonder exactly what that meant. Guess what? IronMan know and I am able to share it with you! DarKOnE™ has put certain constraints on what IronMan is allowed to tell you…rightfully so. We don’t want to give away the secret ingredients that make the BMH recipe so special. This is the beginning of regular updates IronMan will be sharing with the community. So here goes:The mod is going to be playable with mechs very soon. Some retooling has been done on the client release due to Vista and other 64 bit OS issues and the original overall size of the client. It has been streamlined from over 2 GB of content to just under 800 MB of content. This includes all of the maps, mechs and other hardware goodies! This was a very important step. The client needed to be manageable and the install issues needed to become non-existent, this is a lesson learned the hard way throughout the years (if you know what I mean). The mod will be rolled out to the Dev team for testing within the next week. Once the Dev team has kicked it around and ironed out any major issues the mod will be released to the alpha testers.

You can sign up here. What specifically is happening you say? Well, mechs are being textured and animated. The Shadowcat is finished; it moves and walks (thanks Dogbite)…just click the link and check the cool video. It serves as a baseline model for other mechs like the Raven, Uller, and Vulture which are currently textured and awaiting animation. The Dropship looks good; see it land. Some of the other things that Grafix has textured and are ready to be animated and put into the game are the Swift Aero Fighter, Kondor Hovercraft, Lucifer Aero Fighter/Bomber, Calliope, and the Savanah Hovercraft. See the pictures here . Coming soon are the Zhukov Tank, Packrat and Quad Laser Turret. Something else is happening. At first it seemed pretty benign, but then IronMan thought about it and it IS a big deal. It shows you how close this thing really is. Rumor has it that DarKOnE™ has made a request from IronSaint to have the sounds ready for mechs, tanks, hovercraft fans and other neat stuff…a good sign.IronMan

Yes, it is true.I am about to create and tailor the soundFX for the incredible new vehicles and weaponry of the BMH Mod! In the 1st attempt to record some unique audio footage from the most modern military gears I was snatched by MP because they weren't informed about my doing. 30 minutes and 2 coffees later my Id, security clearence and permission from HQ were checked and the friendly chaps brought me to "were it's at". Sorry, I can't tell you anything or must shoot you, immediately..lol. But you'll get to hear it, soon, in the fantastic BMH Mod. CYA, IronSaint @ Digital Audio Studios.
