Hey Crew hope you're doing awesome :) I decided to finish up a promise i made to a cousin
of mine called Fabian, a really super bro, always supportive and fun to be around..So here's
your map i promised and i must say i am quite pleased with the way it turned out..It features
light infantry vehicles and some transport Helis, but has the feel of a decent infantry battle
all the same..
Textures and lightmaps came out quite good..The ambient effects give the map
a solid immersive feel..The AI Mesh Covered most of the Combat area the AI will move freely
and attack you on all points as Navpoints are evenly distributed between all Capture Points..
Lol so prepare to rumble on this one friends cause as soon as you spawn the action is never
too far away xD
To install the map just extract the zip file and place Map Gamer_Fabians_Island
to your "C:\Program Files (x86)\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\mods\bf2\Levels"
directory.
Have fun watch your six soldier! With plenty Gamer food n drink of course and good LUCK
try not to stop and watch the scenery :) cause this will be a very intense battle!

Nice Map great gameplay flow
Thanks alot amigo i'm actually in a game right now :)
Thanks my friend; I will check this out fairly soon. I'm pigging out on two hunting games at the moment (Call of the Wild and the newly released Way of the Hunter); I'm honing my sniper skills in readiness for your new upgraded map ;)
Not played BF2 or BFV for over a month now. I over did BFV playing it every day for months trying to sort out all the decent Coop maps as I'm intending to set up a server to play coop BFV maps with some friends. (I'm sending them hard copies of the game)
I love BF2, but my formative years were over the Vietnam war, so I have a love of all Vietnam based games.
Have you checked out the DLC S.O.G. Prairie Fire for ArmA 3? It's amazing, but too large to play cooperatively with friends (IMO).
Check out the following video:
It's over ayear old, so some of the negatives he mentions should have been address either via the workshop or via updates.
p.s. looking forwards to checking your map (and the previous one) soon
Once I've checked it out, I'll post some thoughts.
Thanks as always Stephen for your support and for all your usual updates on Battlefield and other great games..Arma III i have that in my Steam account and hoping to get some gameplay underway soon, actually have the DLC S.O.G. Prairie Fire on my wish list and will let you know when i have it..plus you never know i may even try at making some ARMA maps as well, as i am in the process of working on modifications to other games, such as Enlisted, doing some Practice and studies in Blender and Unreal Engine..hoping to get a proper study room set up would be great would help for all my various projects without too many after hour distractions..Battlefield Vietnam played it a few times on a friends computer, but would be great if i get a copy of the game as well soon..Also have been playing some of the more recent Battlefield Games Battlefield 3,4,1,5 and Bf2042, which i have created multiple Portal experiences, but still yes it's improving with every new patch and with Season 2 almost ready to be dropped..think Portal is still very limited..in termes of what the developers have released to be used by Modders..lol and we want to be allowed and given the extra tools to build our own custom Portal maps :)
As for this Map Gamer_Fabians_Island however you will have tons of fun on it and there's enough cover in places where you can't see the bots sneaky tactics when they crouch and take cover and surprise you from various angles.. Lol you'll get plenty of Battlefield 2 Combat practice in the one..Also will post a final updated Bf2 version of the Gamer_Spratly_Islands and probably a Modified version for Lions Roar or another Mod..Your feedback is always appreciated as usual amigo :)
Sounds like you are really busy. The only battlefield game I've still to buy is the latest one. I was going to purchase it in the summer sale back in early July, but there were a couple of other games I'd been lusting after. I'd read several reviews of the game, most of which were off-putting, so decided not to ge tit at the time. I still want to add it to my Battlefield collection, probably this coming Christmas.
I just wish EA games would do a remake of all the early customisable Battlefield games i.e. Battlefield 1942, Battlefield Vietnam and Battlefield 2, keeping the ability for modders to create new content and definitely revamping the commanders position with the the ability to direct your troops to where the action was, drop supplied and send a salvo of artillery where enemy strength was high.
You'd think the fact that all three games (more so Battlefield 2) are still modded regularly that they would realise that there is a large community wanting these old game reinvigorated.
Although there are custom made maps for the fourth in the series Battlefield 2142, because EA Games didn't release a single player editor, the maps used the original nav-meshes so custom maps were few and far between.
Stay safe; I'll get back to these comments once I've checked out your map.
MMM! Good point amigo Portal for the latest game 2042 was suppose to be a love letter to the community for fans who were there in full support from the very beginning, but it's way below the expectations of the modding community so far, although they have ported over several previous Battlefield titles, plus maps..hopefully it will still be further developed for the next Battlefield edition, will be a shameful waste if it isn't..cause the amount of content and maps that can still be added is quite huge, including lets say a Battlefield Vietnam or even a Bad Company Vietnam edition..Battlefield 2 should be the Modding Template for which Portal can be based upon and improved..but i'd like to stay on the fence at this time and say that Portals development is still in very early stages and will be around for many more games to follow, will be very disappointing if placed on the shelf after a relatively short period of general development :)
