As seen on my YouTube channel, this was the first large scale mission I ever made in the original Men of War. I used this mission file to create the popular video on my YouTube channel named "Epic Bridge Battle" which has over 30,000 views.
You’ll need to extract the folder and copy it to the the following folder within Men of War:
Men of War / Resource / Map / [paste folder]
When you open the editor, press f3 and then at the top right select the options and then load. It should now show “bridge”. Double click it and the mission file to open is called bridge-inf. The other one is just an initial version of that and just called bridge.
Once loaded, press f1 and then select start at the bottom right. The Russians won’t do anything until you select a chunk of them and order them to advance on the bridge. Swap control to the Germans and attempt to hold your ground! It’ll start getting hectic!
Please note: This was my first ever MoH mission and it's really quite basic. For me, it's all about the fun and dealing with the challenge of holding your ground against overwhelming odds. Can you defeat the Russians with the German forces provided?
Note: You'll need to play this mission in the actual Mission Editor via F1 mode. I never create Single Player mission files. Original Men of War required. Will not run in Assault Squad.

I loaded this up in my MOW editor today. There are two different mission files. The solders all have a red globe in place of their heads and some of the soldiers are solid blue figures. I have not seen this before. I can't find an hot key to fix this.
If I add any soldiers they look normal. The Clash of Powers mission looks normal too.
Same error here, the russians don't attack either.
As for the exclamation marks atop the blue soldier's heads... might be old/missing models?

Epic Bridge Battle- problems
There are no squads, waypoints, and triggers. Nothing happens!! There are also some blue soldiers and soldiers with red heads. If you select any of these to try to fix or delete it the game crashes and exits.
I am using the latest version of Men of War from Steam.
The Clash of Powers seemed to be OK, except waypoints only for the Russians. You have to get the other side to advance to get them to fight.

Regarding the issues reported here. Some of you seem to be encountering them whilst others don't. Using the latest patched MoW on Steam I can still play this fine so can't really help I'm afraid.
Regarding the best way to initiate combat. This was my first ever mission and I didn't use waypoints etc. Best way is just to fire a long shot across the bridge with the flak 88. That'll get the Russians' attention!
Guys all the problems posted above are due to the fact that you are trying to run this level in Men of War: Assault Squad. You can only run this in the original Men of War!
yer im running the map on the original men of war and i get the same thing as navseacom, and how do i download the patch if im using steam?

xGUNISHMENTx after watching your videos I was really looking forwards to playing this map, but I have the same blue figures and red globes problems as mentioned above; and no, I am not playing in Assault Squad. I am playing in original Men of War. How would I be able to fix this problem? Anybody know?
If you play this in assault squad all it does is remove units mortars sandbags and cannons and machine guns it leaves bridge buildings trees bushes water ect.

xgunishmentx your maps are just so cool and wicked ,when i brought this game in the first place it didn't run very well on my old laptop but now because i have Ienovo computer it is more faster and suitable for the game

I don't have a "maps" folder in my Men Of War file
I fixed it but now I can't select the units and some are blue...
how did you fix it?
I might have done something wrong, but there's not a single soldier on the battlefield.
Nevermind, I found it. Only now they're all blue so I guess it automatically opened in assault squad, even though I started the standerd MoW editor.
I dont know if this is the reason but to get this map you need the Commanders of War mod so my thought is maybe the problem with the map might be that you guys dont have CoW2 thus explaining the missing units and such

I have put the folder in the following: C:\Program Files (x86)\505games\1C\Men of War\resource\resource\map It is still not working. I am opening it in original men of war GEM editor and when I go to load map and mission they do not appear. Literally they are not there.
