Just a general description of the current situation, eventual goals and estimation of initial release date.

As you can see, we've moved to a new moddb page.

Currently we are putting the finishing tweaks on our internal Alpha version before we release anything to the public, but this is the first step towards solidifying a release of The Last Crusade: 1944-1945 on Company of Heroes 2.

Please note that we cannot currently:
Implement new skins
Implement new models
Modify the overall content of a Doctrine (I.E: Replace X ability with Y ability)
Put in new Doctrines
Change unit weapons to a weapon that they do not have the mesh for (AKA: I can give the Garand rifle to whatever unit I want, but only those that have it listed within their files will have the rifle model itself show up on screen. Everyone else would be firing an invisible rifle instead.)

As you can see we are currently quite limited, but our goal is to implement a better damage system into Company of Heroes 2 that is both gameplay friendly and realistic as possible. Counters will remain more or less the same for the moment, but overall players should see a genuine difference in how combat works and units interact with one another.

As we progress from one version to the next, we may add or revise units entirely, but for now we have opted to stick with the current roster of units as we will eventually need to scrap everything and rebuild it from scratch anyway.
