Introducing Mafia 2 Online
We would like to take the time to introduce you to Mafia 2 Online, the new multiplayer modification for Mafia 2. The mod allows you to explore the city of Empire Bay as Vito Scaletta or any other characters in this fictional world.

What's different from this and M2MP?
Mafia 2 Multiplayer was an exciting mod however the development was discontinued.
Our development team has, with permission, used the source code for M2MP to add exciting new features and patch many bugs that were within M2MP.

We would like to thank ArronLad and the other developers of M2MP for their work on the modification.

The future of Mafia 2 Online
We have big plans for Mafia 2 Online including;

• Improved Synchronisation - Vehicle, On foot and shooting
• Server Side functions released - including MySQL and JSON
• Global Banning - Once a cheater, always a cheater
• Automatic Updater - Download once and get updates automatically
• Overall improved experience whilst playing Mafia 2
• Version Support - Allows both the Steam and Non steam versions to play
• Server Side mods - Allows the use of Skin / Vehicle mods for a client.

The Mafia 2 Online Team Roles
Within the Mafia 2 Online team we have a few different roles and responsibilities, these are explained below;

Administration:
Responsible for keeping the project up and running. Ensuring that the community is heard and everything runs smoothly.
- Tyldar: Project Leader, Lead Developer
- Stuart: Community/Global Manager

Development:
Responsible for the development of the modification. Ensuring that bugs are patched and new features are added.
- Andrew: Web/Core developer
- Ryder: Core developer

BETA Testers:
Responsible for testing the modification before it is out for public release. They are also forum moderators and have the ability to suspend users forum privileges.
- Jamie: Lead BETA tester
