This week's update is a video of a Caldari single-seater fighter launching from a super-carrier.
There are two types of carriers: escort carriers and motherships, though both are classed as "super-capitals". They carry no weapons but have a host of fighters, bombers and drones. I am thinking about making a few changes from the original EVE Online stats as fighter craft have as much offensive power as a cruiser despite being a tenth of the size of just one of their turrets. This would be compensated by letting carriers hold more craft.
I'm also thinking about adding clusters of small turrets to the carriers for point defense, much like real-life carriers have. Finally, the throttles on fighter craft are configured to increase logarithmically instead of linearly due to their high speed. This means you have more precise control over mid-range "combat speeds" but can still punch it to 2 km/s if you need to.
