Updated Demo!

First of all, the demo can be downloaded here from our indiedb page, or from our page!

We have finally finished adding most of our sound effects! Now different textures create different sounds when the ball bounces off of, rolls on, or passes through a voxel. Combined with this, each texture also has it's own elasticity and friction values, meaning that each texture interacts with the ball differently.

We have also updated the HUD and removed all of the ugly plain text that the old demo contained. This significantly improves the look of the game, and the layout with be intuitive to both those who have and have not previously played golf games. It indicates hole number, par, distance from hole, wind speed and direction, and your current score.

The 3 maps included in the demo are the Town Course, the Bathroom Course, and the Ballf Course. Each course is themed differently, to give an idea of what types of courses are possible!

The Town Course takes place in backyards, stores, school yards, and streets.

The Bathroom Course is in a giant bathroom, and will have you throwing the ball over sinks, into bathtubs, drawers, and garbage cans, while trying to avoid hazards such as lifted toilet seat!

New Bathroom Level

Lastly, the Ballf Course, is an attempt to create a relatively normal golf course. There are lots of trees, rocks, hills, sand traps, and water hazards!

Ballf is still in development! We are currently working on adding a few minor sfx, player model and animations, and particle affects. Once these are addressed we will begin work on the multiplayer aspects of the game.

If you enjoyed the demo, please spread the word and feel free to post about it elsewhere! We would also love to hear feedback on what you did and didnt like! You can leave comments here, on our website, or on our Twitter! Thanks for checking out our game!
