Unreal Tactics Beta 3.0 Released!
The latest version of Unreal Tactics, a sqaud-based tactics modification for Unreal Tournament, has just been released. The largest changes in this release are:
- The addition of water spout and cloud effects to the world map.
- Significant improvement in the performance of battle maps.
- The addition of rock formations to all battle maps in order to break of up open feel of the battle maps.
This is also the version that was submitted as my grand finals candidate for Epic's "Make Something Unreal" contest.
This release marks the end of development on Unreal Tactics. With the release the Unreal Development Kit I will be turning my efforts into creating two standalone games. The first will be a 2d zero-gravity physics shooter. In the other I will be cannibalizing most of Unreal Tactics in order to create a Zombie-Apocalypse tactics games, in which the player takes control of a colony of survivors living inside a zombie-ravaged city. It is my intent to have both projects finished before the end of 2010. I would just like to thank everyone for their support throughout the course of development, and especially thank Wesley Olson and all the guys at Random Guy Audio Productions for their awesome work on this project.
