Ukrainian Front, the first part of the Modern Arms mod for Sudden Strike 3, is available today on 9 May, 2023. It deals with three battles set in 2022-23, and provides a more than sufficient arsenal covering the forces involved. You can download it here: Moddb.com or read on for more information.

The Battle of the Siverskyi Donets (gameplay video here) will allow you to carry out Ukraine's famous destruction of a Russian Battalion Tactical Group (BTG) and its pontoon bridges in Spring 2022.

On the other side, the First Battle of Lyman (gameplay video here) allows players to conduct the Russian offensive that first captured Lyman (referred to as Krasny Liman by Russia) weeks after the previous scenario. Firepower and armor support will increase as you get closer to sensitive objectives.

The final example scenario is the more recent combat in the closing days of the Soledar Encirclement (gameplay video here). This scenario is unique in featuring PMC Wagner, a subfaction of the Russian infantry created for the mod. Other subfactions can be found in the game files, including the Akhmat unit, Azov Brigade, and the Naval Infantry of both Russia and Ukraine. They all have unique bonuses and they will feature significantly in future content releases for the Modern Arms mod.

In the next content, likely Kyiv Offensive, you can expect KA-52 helicopters, Mig-29/35 fighter-bombers, D-30 Howitzers and faithful recreations of relevant buildings and background objects.
