Steel Storm is an old school top down arcade shooter with score oriented competitive gameplay, and is designed for people who like fast paced action and have limited amounts of time to play computer games.

The events of the game take place in an alternative universe where you control an advanced hovertank, packed with the most advanced and sophisticated weapons. Your task is simple, but, nevertheless, is not trivial. In the fight with presumed extraterrestrial invaders, you must prevail!

Features in the Episode 2 beta include:

  • Complete Episode 1
  • 2 new environments
  • 3 new single-player / coop missions
  • CTF online mode
  • New weapons
  • New enemies
  • Achievements
  • Gamepad support

Kot-in-Action invites all old-school shmup fans to register on our forums and join our official IRC channel and coordinate multiplayer games and comment on the singleplayer mode. Preorders are available now on Desura and the official Steel Storm site for the second episode and those who preorder will receive beta access.

Additionally, Kot-in-Action founder Alexander Zubov said, "We are very excited to have Steel Storm on the Desura digital distribution service and hope that it will bring success to our game projects current and future."

“Top down shooters have long been a genre dominated by innovative indies and Steel Storm does a fine job of keeping up the tradition. Expect the usual tons of explosions interspersed with objectives and worlds to explore. Great to be working with Kot-in-Action on Desura” said Scott Reismanis, Desura founder.
