If you’ve played Sid Meier’s Civilization VI, you know how difficult it is to conquer the world. Whether you’re contending with computer controlled opponents or taking on human foes, you need every edge you can get. That’s where Logitech’s RGB lighting system comes in. Found on keyboard such as the G810 Orion Spectrum, it adds a colorful dimension to your gaming experience that increases your awareness and sense of immersion.

When you play Civilization VI on a G810 Orion Spectrum or any other RGB compatible keyboard, the keys will illuminate with different shades depending on what’s happening on the screen. For instance, when you enter into conflict with a neighboring faction, all of the keys on your G810 Orion Spectrum will light up red. Not only does this serve as a constant visual reminder that you must be on guard, it creates a foreboding atmosphere around your rig that ups the sense of tension and drama.

Civilization VI isn’t the only game that benefits from the RGB system. Cause too much mayhem in 2K’s epic crime drama Mafia III and your G810 Orion Spectrum will flash red and blue to let you know the law is on its way. Get hit by a gas attack in EA’s hit Battlefield 1 and your keyboard will light up to alert you of the danger. It will also rapidly illuminate the gas mask key, letting you get the lifesaving gear on that much quicker.

Check out the video above for more information on the versatile RGB color system and how it can transform your gaming experience in Civ VI. Get an in-depth look at Logitech G’s gaming gear by visiting their site here.
