where can you even play this game these days?

I managed to get a working Steam Key off of G2A a few months ago, they're dirt cheap at around $2 in USD and $3 in AUD.
Yeah I've heard & known that G2A is a bit sketchy, but this is the only thing I've ever gotten from there (and will probably stay that way for the foreseeable future).
I just tried it for $2 USD and it worked.

Well well well...that is a most intriguing surprise.
I do consider the original Prey (not the recent nonsense)
to be the most creative FPS of all time, and proudly
own a copy of one. And now that masterpiece gets an HD
treatment...definitely excited to try that out! Respects.
Amazing mod for an amazing game! I always wondered why we never seen an open source port of this game and Quake 4, since ID Tech 4 is now open sourced. I know source code would also be needed for those 2 other games to use the scripts and other stuff, but I think people could recreate them by using the assets from the game as levels and other stuff should work in it. I hope in the future somebody will decompile stuff from them and recreate it, so we could theoretically have a PS3 port or to other systems powerful enough to run it like PS4 since that system is fully jailbroke too. Would be cool to see how much further the game could be pushed on PC as well with the textures from this on such a project in the future.
Isn't there a non-stretched HUD mod for 16:9?
