On this Armistice Day and after several months of hard work and development, we are proud to finally announce the release of the Open Beta of Hearts of Iron IV: The Great War.
It has been both a great and an amazing adventure for us! We've learned and acquired a lot of experience throughout this project. We started from the Game you know and made a playable First World War Mod. We put a lot of work each day on our free time to create this Mod.
We often say that without your support, we couldn't have done this. Nonetheless, it's true. Each day we've read your encouragements, your comments, your remarks, your suggestions (wether on Facebook, Twitter, Mod DB, Reddit, Steam or Paradox's forum), and you kept us motivated throughout all the development, day after day, week after week.
We'd also like to give a special thanks to all the contributors: Dizzle, Kaiser Anony, Jadasong, Vale, Crouching Lemur, Tsunami, Zak MacKay, Seonake and Benoît (Mundus Bellicus).
All this adventure gave us the motivation to continue our work with The Great War Project and to take a step forward in the development of a PC video game one day, who knows...

I was playing with Serbia and i think that after ww1 Serbia could chose to create Yugoslavia or Greater Serbia
Dear Wolferos Team, I love the amount of effort put in this mod. I love how can I go to my home country (Venezuela) and see the exact president that was there for the time (Juán Vicente Gómez), or also see the "Republicanization" of Portugal. The amount of work put in the Events and National Focuses, it's just amazing.
This mod is worth the wait.

Mod works like a dream,it is so amazing,thank you for your work. Btw,i was playing Austro-Hungary,and when i reached the national focus where i could give territory to italy because of the Ottoman-Italian war,the war was over before i could even research it.

The mod works great but I encountered a weird bug. I was playing as Germany, and forced Brest-Litovsk peace on Russia. When the civil war in Russia started for some reason Russian Empire got Bhutan, Nepal and Yunnan province from China. Interestingly, Bhutan and Nepal still "exist" because they are called in to wars with me.
And one more thing - IMO the Russian Focus tree needs a little rework. When I was playing as Russia I could not get rid of the National spirit "Ghosts of 1905" because the focus which is getting rid of it was locked behind a focus tied to Bulgaria being in faction with Germany - which never happened. So I basically accidentally conquered and annexed nearly all of Central Powers (including Turkey) and couldn't get rid of that "Ghosts..." penalty.
Well, I see you fixed the Bhutan-Nepal bug in the patch, cheers!
