Oculus has announced via the official Oculus Blog that the company is now taking pre-orders for the Oculus Touch motion-tracked controller. Pre-orders can be placed via Oculus.com for US$199, plus shipping – or through Amazon.co.uk for £189.99, with free UK shipping.
Included in the box are a left-hand and right-hand Oculus Touch controller, along with an extra sensor to use in conjunction with the one that shipped with your Oculus Rift headset. Also included is one adaptor to strap an Oculus Touch controller to a Rock Band guitar for use in the upcoming Rock Band VR from Harmonix. Plus, you also get two free Oculus Touch games – The Unspoken, from Insomniac Games; and VR Sports Challenge.
Oculus.com pre-orders estimate their shipping dates to be from between December 6 through to December 15. The company expects 35 Touch-compatible games to be available at launch, with more to be released through to the end of the year.
Road To VR also reports that users who pre-ordered the Oculus Rift through Oculus.com are eligible for a "priority status" when pre-ordering the Oculus Touch, by using the same email address to make their order. This will ensure their Oculus Touch is first in line to be shipped.
