We are trying to secure funding so that the development of Octopede can flourish. Ideally we would like to continue development at a fast rate whilst keeping the overall quality of the game high. Your contributions to the project will go towards several much needed investments. Licensing software, as many indie developers are aware, is an expensive business. We are currently using several free to use software packages that can be found on the web, however these are limited in features and support, so we would like to upgrade to using professional level software.
Funding Octopede will ultimately aid in the success of its development. Being 3 recent university graduates, we need as much help as possible getting our game to the heights it deserves. Even in Alpha phase we can see that Octopede has the potential to be a highly rated and popular video game. For those that grew up with Snake in the arcades or even those that first met it on a Nokia phone, it will provide a fresh yet nostalgic approach to a game concept that has already been very well received throughout the gaming world.
