Stargate Universe Premiere draws huge audience

The third live-action series Stargate Universe premiered on October 2 in the US with the first 2 parts of the three part "Air". The long anticipated first-run drew over 2.35 million viewers in the US, 565,000 in Canada and over a million in the UK.

Stargate Atlantis wins two Gemini Awards.

Stargate Atlantis has won two Gemini Awards out of the five that it was nominated for. The awards are:

  • Best Writing In A Dramatic Series - The Shrine - Brad Wright
  • Best Achievement in Make-Up - Vegas - Todd Masters, Leah Ehman, Holland Miller, Brad Proctor and Kyla Rose Tremblay

First season of Stargate Universe finishes principal photography.

Principal photography (filming) for the first season of Stargate Universe has been completed, ending eight months of production.

Second season of Stargate Universe is being "spun" out.

According to Executive Producer Joseph Mallozzi, the storyline and stories for the second season of Stargate Universe are being planned. The renewal of Stargate Universe for a second season has yet to be confirmed by SyFy.

Alaina Huffman pregnant.

Alaina Huffman (Lt. Tamara Johansen, aka TJ) is pregnant with her third child. Congratulations to Alaina and family!

A number of Kino ball webisodes are currently on the official Stargate website for viewing, click here. The videos provide extra character moments and guided "tours" led by Eli Wallace.

The show was a very worthy production! I was sad to see it go,yet glad to see it being acknowledged for it's quality.

Indeed. In total, SGA has won 19 awards out of 60 nominations.
