well I didn't write news for a long time so this have some exiting content.
Coding: Well I've done a lot in the "Own Life" engine. I've optimized very much stuff and created a better encryption system. Also I've started developing a tool witch helps you control your saves easily. I've also started to create a complex system for jobs and money.
Modeling: At the moment he's creating some animations for the character models. He don't have so much time at the moment so the modeling process isn't going very fast.
Mapping: Our mapper finally got everything working he also checked what's needed to map without any problems.
Finally Cinematic Physics Development(We) got a website.
Stuff like the Wiki or a Forum(Not done yet) will be there.
We'll stop adding detailed news here. This is the last detailed news entry here. We'll only release detailed news on our website. Here the news will only notify you, that we'll released news on our website.
The hardware requirements also changed:
- a DX9 capable graphics hardware with minimum 512 MB VRAM. (1024 MB recommended)
- at least 3,5 GB RAM
- a quad core processor (or better) [Due to physics]
Features that I've forgot to publish:
"Advanced basic" Job System
As example "Engineer":
Maybe some of you know the crafting system from TF2. This will be nearly the same. You're able to use resources such as metal, wood, chips and so on, to build up machines like freezers, etc. You'll be able to discover blueprints and save them in your "Job menu". You'll be able to change your Job but this will reset all blueprints so there's a reason why you shouldn't change your job every 5 minutes.
"The Plots Mind"
This feature will save EVERY Item you've placed in your plot...
Once you disconnect all the items and props will be removed,
but if you connect on the same server again your plot will load its "mind" and respawn every singe item and prop at the same position you have left it. (Info: You're able to buy only one plot at once. You must sell your Plot to buy another one. Your plot is saved permanently until you sell it. The plots price will be configured by server admins. The plot itself will be created by mappers.[It's a Trigger])
